Each March, in honor of Women’s History Month and Harriet Tubman Day, MCAAHC presents the Harriet Tubman Lifetime Achievement Awards to a selection of Marylanders who embody the enduring spirit and legacy of Harriet Tubman.

Created by Lou Fields, African American tourism advocate and business leader, MCAAHC’s BDTM Committee and staff are so honored to continue this important acknowledgement. Lou Fields gave the commission stewardship over this award in 2021.
